Hi Karl,

Thank you for the explanation. Now, I am trying to use PyFerret on Mac OS X Mojave. As you mentioned before, there was a warning when I tried to make plots. But, the plots were ok. 

I found another trouble when saved the plots as a PDF file. It did not show the complete plots (only quarter plots).

PyFerret still cannot display plots on Mac OS X Sierra (10.12) - there are still problem with Qt working (at least in the way it is used in PyFerret) with that version of Metal (graphics display software).  Last I tested, PyFerret displayed plotting works under High Sierra and Mohave versions of Mac OS X, although with a warning and only a single display window.  Displayed plotting works fine (no warnings, multiple display windows) under versions of Mac OS X prior to Sierra (before Apple started using Metal).

Using the '-nodisplay' command-line option when starting PyFerret allows you to make plots, but of course they are not displayed.  You would have to save the plots as PNG or PDF ('frame /file=...' ferret command), then examine them using other software.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem? Did anyone experience a similar thing?
