Hi,

if a dos-unix incmpatibility is the point, you
could also send all ASCII-files in ASCII-mode via ftp
from a DOS machine to the UNIX machine. This should remove
all 0As too. Switching off the prompt and using
mget or mput should be faster, if a large number of files
has to be changed.
