Can I shift a netcdf dataset in longitude?

I have two netcdf files of global ocean data. One dataset is shifted 1
grid cell westward, relative to the other dataset. I want to compare the
two, but need to perform a shift before I do the difference calculation.
Can anyone tell me how to do this in Ferret?
