label command with pen 10 or higher

  Hi -

I want to use pen 13 (very bold black) with the label command as
follows:
  label `x1`,`y1`,0,0,0.16 @P13F
but, this ends up giving me "3F" as my label instead of "F".

I tried using: 
  ppl pen 2 13
  label `x1`,`y1`,0,0,0.16 @P2F
but, that gave me a red F in the normal (non-bold) face.

Any ideas?
